A1 LIST
For persons who have previously been approved by The Kennel club to award CC’s in the breed and have completed their first appointment. To be included on the DBC A3 judges list and have the support of the Dobermann Breed Council.
A3 BREED SPECIALIST
The applicant should send 12 copies of the questionnaire and 3 copies of certificates to the Secretary of the Club, when applying for proposal by the Club.
1.To have been twelve (12) years actively involved in the breed and have the support of the Dobermann Breed Council.
2.To have judged a minimum of fifty (50) Dobermann Breed classes at Open or Championship Shows plus at least one Dobermann Breed Club Open show. Breed Club Shows must be at least 150 miles apart

3.. To have judged Dobermanns at a minimum of ten (10) all breeds Open or Championship Shows.
4.. To have judged a minimum of at least 200 Dobermanns (dogs in attendance).
5.. To be included on a Dobermann Breed Council ‘B’ judging list.
6.. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. (KC Policy 01.07.2001)
7.. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement. (KC Policy 01.07.2001)
7a To have attended a Conformation and Movement ‘Hands On’ Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited trainer and passed the assessment (KC Policy as of 01.07.2005).
8.. To have attended at least one Dobermann Breed Specific Judging Seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice.
9..To have attended, completed and passed a judges assessment day/test, held specifically for Dobermann’s. Organised by one of the DBC member Clubs and run to the agreed format.
10. .To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances – please give written explanation)
11.. To have stewarded at 12 Shows.
A3 NON BREED SPECIALIST
The applicant should send 12 copies of the questionnaire and 3 copies of certificates to the Secretary of the Club, when applying for proposal by the Club.
- Minimum of seven (7) years judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in this breed) and have the support of the Dobermann Breed Council.
- To have judged a minimum of fifty (50) Dobermann Breed classes at Open or Championship Shows plus at least one Dobermann Breed Club Open show. Breed Club Shows must be 150 miles apart.
- To have judged Dobermanns at a minimum of ten (10) all breeds Open or Championship Show.
- To have judged a minimum of at least 250 Dobermanns (dogs in attendance).
- To be included on a Dobermann Breed Council ‘B’ Judging List.
- To be KC approved to award Challenge Certificates in 1 breed or more within the Pastoral/Working Group .
7. To have attended at least one Dobermann Breed Specific Judging Seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice.
8. To have attended, completed and passed a judges assessment day/test, held specifically for Dobermann’s. Organised by one of the DBC member Clubs and run to the agreed format

A3 OVERSEAS JUDGES
The applicant should send 12 copies of the questionnaire and 3 copies of certificates to the Secretary of the Club, when applying for proposal by the Club.
- Must be approved by their governing body to award CC’s (or the equivalent) in Dobermanns and complete a DBC questionnaire to the satisfaction of the Council
B LIST – BREED SPECIALIST
Persons who would be supported to judge the breed at Open Shows to comply with KC guidelines i.e. Band E

To have been actively involved in the bred (to have owned solely or in partnership, bred, showed or handled) for not less than 5 years and have the support of the Breed Council. |
| 2 |
To have judged a minimum of 30 classes of Dobermanns at open shows with a minimum of 100 dogs ‘hands on’ (excluding absentees). |
| 3 |
To have judged the breed at a minimum of eight (8) Open Shows |
| 4 |
To have stewarded at a minimum of six (6) Shows (Open or Championship). |
| 5 |
To have attended at least one Dobermann Breed Specific Judging Seminar – plus one of the following:- |
| a) |
To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. |
| b) |
To have attended a Conformation and Movement ‘Hands On’ Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited trainer and passed the assessment (KC Policy as of 01.07.2005). |
B LIST – NON BREED SPECIALIST
- To have judged Dobermanns for a period of 5 years and have the support of the Breed Council.
- To have judged a minimum of 40 classes of Dobermanns at Open Shows with at least 150 dogs ’hands on’ (excluding absentees) ** (except where the applicant is already approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in another breed then the criteria is as per breed specialist i.e. 30)**.
- To have judged the breed at a minimum of 12 Open Shows. ** (Except where the applicant is already approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in another breed, then the criteria is as per breed specialist i.e. 8)**.
- To have stewarded at a minimum of six (6) shows (Open or Championship Shows), (Except where the applicant is already approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in another breed).
5. To have attended at least one Dobermann Breed Specific Judging Seminar.
Plus one of the following:-
a) To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. (Except where the applicant is already approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in another breed)
b) To have attended a Conformation and Movement ‘Hands On’ Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited
trainer and passed the assessment. (Except where the applicant is already approved by the Kennel Club to award
Challenge Certificates in another breed)
B LIST – OVERSEAS JUDGES
To be approved to judge the breed concerned at Championship level in the country in which they domiciled
C LIST – BREED SPECIALIST
(For persons showing an interest in judging the breed, who would be supported to judge up to five (5) classes of Dobermanns)
- To have been actively involved in the breed (to have owned solely or in partnership, bred, showed or handled) for a minimum of three (3) years and have the support of the Breed council.
- To have attended a seminar on KC Rules and Regulations given by a KC Accredited Trainer and passed a test.
- To have attended a seminar on Conformation and Movement given by a KC Accredited Trainer.
- To have stewarding experience
C LIST – NON BREED SPECIALIAST
